Sit with Yourself.
There are a billion people in the world and quite a few in your life. However, the preeminent person in your life will always be you yourself. It is our primary responsibility to take care of ourselves first and why shouldn’t it be. This mind of ours fights numerous battles everyday for us. This body of ours works day and night to keep us alive and thriving.
So take a moment, in a while or so and sit with yourself. Talk to yourself. Listen to yourself. Let the mind speak of its pain, its joy, its thoughts, its observation, uninterrupted. Hear it speak, hear it cry, hear it chuckle, hear it sigh. Before setting out to heal and change the world, be a good listener to yourself. Understand what your mind tries to say.
Often, the solutions and answers to our problems lie within. It is only when we pay enough attention to what truly hinders our growth and survival is when we can actually initiate our own healing.
There will be times in life when we would be all alone. No one to hear, no one to advise, no one to talk to. It becomes absolutely necessary to know how to comfort and soothe ourselves and at the same time counsel ourselves too. Be your own help. For the only person to stick by forever for you would be you only.
